Eight easy ways to improve performance and speed of computer

Increase the speed of Your PC by cleaning up Disk Space: 

Microsoft recommends that your system drive be free at least 20% for Windows to perform well. Because the window will operate smoothly if you have enough space in your disk. 

There are four steps to speed up your PC: 

  • Uninstall all programs that are not of any use 
  • Remove or delete permanently junk and duplicate files 
  • Save data in your cloud storage  
  • Disable Startup programs

Delete duplicate and junk files: 

Have you ever found the same file in multiple locations and found difficult How to find them and delete them? Such type of files are generated by apps and software that contain temporary data and they are not mostly used by respective programs. But after deleting these files, it feels good how much space you can save after that, so use the Windows app, Disk Cleanup. 

Uninstall programs, which are not in use 

you’ve now got a lot of wasted space and resources, when you try some new apps, use it once and then forget about it. Now find these programs you hardly ever use and uninstall them. To remove programs and navigate to: 

  • Programs and Features (Windows 7) 
  • Uninstall a Program (Windows 8) 
  • Apps & Features (Windows 10) 

Add more storage options 

Let’s increase set of storage options in your PC, simply by moving files to cloud storage. You don’t need to buy an external drive and this extra space will help speed up your PC. 

Disable startup programs 

When Windows starts it first loads all startup and system tray programs. Some of them are essential, while others may just be wasting system resources. You won’t even notice they’re not running in the background. Remove startup programs by following steps: 

  • Press Window Key + R 
  • Type in msconfig and press enter button 
  • Open services tab and see “Hide all Microsoft services” 
  • Unselect the programs you don’t want to run at startup
